The year has just started and here it is – a big and significant biking event. Well, not exactly…

This bike fest with an untranslatable name will be surrounded by less of them rules and more of the mere joy of riding and life. I am sure, there on the paths of Vitosha many a biker and their friends will rise and fall covered in snow and mud to laugh their hearts out.
For some time now the organizers from the S.K.A MTB club have been revealing, in their quite peculiar way, more and more info. Here, in a very telegraphic style I’ll try to tell you what it is all about. Many people, this coming Sunday (16th that is) on the hills of Vitosha and particularly on the park and the ski slope above Knyajevo and also the paths to and around Momina skala, riding joyfully or competing for cool prizes.
At about 1o a.m. the most competitive guys and gals will show skills on a very cool track designed by the S.K.A people. The mass fun, however, will start at about 1 p.m. when bikers, and folks equipped with whatever gear that can get them down the track, will melt all the snow that is left. The cool part is that prizes get not only the competitors, but also randomly drawn participants.
Parents, most certainly are shaking their heads, but the organizers get serious here providing trauma doctor on site and are requiring all kids under 16 to have a parent around or a notary document letting them participate. Not so tough document is required from all 16-18 year-olds and the mountain insurance is a must for all participants.
More info on how to register you can find over here.
